Also, I was tired of big patches and multiple bolt-on security requirements required in the world of Windows. I like Microsoft in a lot of ways, but Vista isn&#039;t one of them.</description>

I guess my number one might be not having to restart after updates or perhaps something specific about security but lets face it these are all benefits of using Linux in general.  The reasons I chose Ubuntu have more to do with philosophy and their update policies.</description>
